Providing a Safe & efficient fleet is of paramount importance to M Group Services Plant & Fleet Solutions, we currently combine our strategy on risk and green fleet in this area as slower /more careful driving delivers lower risk and commercial benefits:

• Fuel is 90% of the group’s carbon footprint
• Electric & Hybrid Vehicles are being utilised across the group where possible and when commercially effective
• Limited commercial vehicle opportunity at present
• Hybrid Truck on fleet since 2014
• Hybrid Electric Transit trials with Ford in central London
• HGV fleet nearly all Euro 6 compliant
• We continually review new market developments and products that help us meet and exceed the safety, sustainability and operational efficiency objectives of the wider business.

Risk Management
Dedicated Road Risk & Green Fleet team proactively engage contracts on driver behavior and road safety including bespoke driving analysis, coaching and training.

• Risk dashboards and Fleet Insurance Reports identify vehicles/drivers with both high risk and high mpg, idling etc (Red Drivers)
• Vehicles speed limited, Cameras fitted, in cab feed back devices
• Telematics and in some cases front facing cameras are proving significant benefit
• Passenger air bags / Additional fall from height systems etc
