We’ve been shortlisted for two UK Fleet Champions Awards 24th July 2023

Congratulations to M Group Services Plant & Fleet Solutions on being shortlisted for two UK Fleet Champions Awards.

The UK Fleet Champions Awards celebrate the hard work and dedication of fleet organisations striving to prevent road deaths and injuries, and reduce pollution caused by their vehicles. Over the last decade the UK Fleet Champions Awards have awarded more than 100 organisations for their life-saving work.

MGSPFS has been shortlisted for the Fleet Safety Partnership Award with partner, Samsara. This award celebrates the partnership of a fleet service provider with another organisation that has delivered the most outstanding results to improve fleet safety.

Also, a huge congratulations to Antony Draper, Head of SHEQ at MGSPFS and George McChord, Compliance Manager at MGSPFS, who together have been nominated for the Road Risk Manager of The Year award, marking the second shortlisting for the business. This award recognises fleet managers who have implemented exemplary road risk management policies with proven results.

We are proud of being shortlisted in these categories, demonstrating our commitment to putting the health, safety and wellbeing of our people and the public first, as well as reducing our impact on the environment.

Speaking on their shortlisting, Antony Draper, Head of SHEQ at MGSPFS, said: “It’s a real honour for our division to be nominated for two prestigious awards. All departments at MGSPFS deserve huge credit for these nominations, this is more than just individuals, it’s the whole team effort that has made this work. Ultimately our drivers and members of the public are safer because of the systems that have been put in place. My thanks go to the wider team for their hard work and dedication.”

George McChord, Compliance Manager at MGSPFS, added: “It’s an honour to be shortlisted for the UK Fleet Champions Awards, however it takes a dedicated team of people to make significant change in any business and the MGSPFS team have risen to the challenges over the last year to significantly improve fleet and driver compliance across M Group Services to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our people and the public.”

Speaking on being shortlisted, Shaun Stephenson, Managing Director of MGSPFS, said “A great team effort and a recognition of the team’s commitment to safety. Well done to everyone involved”.

The UK Fleet Champions Awards 2023 will take place on Tuesday 10 October 2023 at New Dock Hall at the Royal Armouries, Leeds.
